Snow Days II

Here I am, in the middle of slew of snow days, trying to remember what it's like to have to wake up and go to work. While I have to admit that I enjoy starting my week on trash day, it's going to be rough going tomorrow.

On the other hand, I think Jamie is glad to get me out of her business. I'm not sure how to feel about that. I guess I'll just be glad to know that she won't be shedding any tears about me not being here tomorrow.

Aaron is under the weather

Aaron had a good run of non-sickness but now he finally has an ear infection...in both ears. For the most part, it hasn't dampened his mood. He'll walk up to us and say "Nose!" when he needs a Kleenex for his nose.

The other night, his nose was especially runny so I thought I would try the dreaded nose sucker that terrifies the toddlers of the world. I went to gently suck a little snot from his left nostril and what happened was more like a vacuum causing him to flinch and jump back. Then...in typical Aaron style, he laughed and reached out for me to do it again. This guy is nutty!

Happy 2007

The new year is here and we've had an eventful holiday season. I worked almost every day of the "break" and that means Jamie was working too, keeping the boys entertained and out of trouble.

We spent New Year's Eve at a jazz concert broadcast live on NPR (and available online now) featuring vocalist Karrin Allyson. Many thanks to KCUR for the champagne toast at midnight and the tickets. KCUR is my newest place of employment where you can find me most Sundays from 12:00 noon to 6:00.

Keep checking here for more updates including my New Year's resolutions that I know you're waiting anxiously for.
